Under Her Eye

I’m excited to share my poem, “You Can Always Tell A Barker Girl,” will be in UNDER HER EYE, the second annual Women in Horror Poetry Showcase from Black Spot Books.

UNDER HER EYE centers on the concept of domestic horror and features work from Bram-Stoker Awards® winning and nominated authors, as well as over one hundred poems from women (cis and trans) and non-binary femmes in horror. I’ve gotten a peek at the poems in the showcase, and they are both beautiful and devastating.

I’m proud to have such a personal poem in this charity showcase developed in partnership with The Pixel Project, a global non-profit organization focused on eliminating violence against women worldwide. All net proceeds from this showcase will be donated to The Pixel Project. Black Spot Books, the editors, most poets, and supporting production and publicity staff have also donated their time and energy into bringing this showcase to readers.

UNDER HER EYE will be released in November 2023, to coincide with the United Nations General Assembly’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

UNDER HER EYE is available for pre-order, and Advance Review Copies are available on Netgalley.
