Fruiting Bodies: Fungal Horror and a Queer Love Story

In the darkest part of the close of the year, DARK SPORES: Stories We Tell after Midnight, Volume 4 , an anthology of fungal horror, has emerged into the world. Much like its theme, it had been spreading beneath us, waiting, and now its weird body is quivering for all to see.

“Fruiting Bodies” is my story of how mysterious growths rip humanity apart. They may be puffballs, aliens, or the judgement of a god, but they may also be the way to rebuild us. Come in to the murky dark and visit with our dank creations. DARK SPORES is filled with stories that are so much more than piles of mycelia.
